UTOPIA
A new experimental group choreography entitled Utopia will make its debut on Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Greensboro Cultural Center. Utopia will premiere alongside other pieces from Carrel’s repertory as well as a selection of guest artist’s work as well. There are two performances on the 26th beginning at 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm respectively.

March 20 and 21, 2026, Carrel will premiere his MFA Thesis Concert along with graduate cohort member Tiffany Hale. The performance merges dance history, Labanotation, postmodern vocabularies, and collaboration.
Performers Maura Grout, Emily Neely, Elena Redman, Ethan Schwab, Blythe Sheppard, and Joe Teachey take to the stage in this piece with their own rich investigations of form, tension, and eventual release.
