Boiling Point (2025)
A brand new collaborative trio work from Carrel, entitled Boiling Point, hit the stage at the Association of Graduate Students in Dance Concert on October 17 and 18.
The piece investigates how energy builds within the body and becomes palpable to other bodies within the space. Together, Carrel and his collaborators Elena Redman and Ethan Schwab, tumbled through a silent space. While only lasting roughly two and a half minutes, the piece packs a punch as the dancer’s weight is tossed into and around each other.
This piece is being prepared for a brand new dance collective that Carrel is forming with an array of dance artists in and around Greensboro. More exciting information on the horizon!
